Gate camps are not the only place log off are abused.
I solo hunt in 0.0 and low sec, with WTZ you have to jump and tackle on the other side of gates, 99% of people I jump with log off! They do this because they'll ctrl-q EVE while cloaked so even if I get a point on their ship, I got a minute to kill it as I locked it after the player had disconnected.
I travel and rat in 0.0 too, I see no excuse for logoffski at all. learn to avoid camps, learn to get away when ratting, don't be a @#!%$^ and force your self by a camp loging off and on till you are far enough to warp out.
Theres a way to avoid all forms of 0.0 gankage with out logging off.

I go in and out of 0.0 almost every day. my entry point is camped 80% of them time it seems but only half the time it has a bubble. I have never been inside a bubble and I've never needed to log off.
Loging off is a wussy tactic used by lazy players to go anywhere they want in 100% safety.
